DISTRICT READS YOUR METERS - YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FORWARD YOUR READINGS WHEN PAYING ON LINE
You can verify your readings by the following instructions:
STEP 1 Locate your meter box, generally found towards the front of a property, near the street. The box is typically in a direct line with the main outside faucet. Remove the lid by using a tool such as a large screwdriver. Insert the tool into one of the holes and pry the lid off.
STEP 2 This is for the new IPERL ELECTRONICALLY READ METERS (digital meters): Once you open the meter box lid, lift the protective cap on the meter. Ignore the last two digits (there is a Decimal Point before the last two digits:
EXAMPLE: 0,019,563.45 is your reading.
This is 19,563 gallons. Therefore, your "Current reading is 19,500 gallons; however, always use just the hundreds. Therefore, in your record book where it says "Current _______", record only 19,500. Do it this way every month.
